Pilates is suitable for all levels, and is used alongside physiotherapy to address the theory of muscle imbalance which is thought to contribute to many common injuries.

The APPI method, founded by Glen and Elisa Withers has adapted all 34 of the original matwork exercises to be used for the rehabilitation population. All of the especially and carefully adapted exercises are based on research and evidence- taking into account incredibly detailed analysis of pain mechanisms, pathology and the muscles required for each exercise. This method, combined with a physiotherapists in depth knowledge of function and injury pathology makes Pilates a unique exercise method.

Exercises can be progressed through to a high level suitable for use in the sports population to prevent injuries and improve technique. It is a challenging but enjoyable way to exercise- and leaves individuals with a positive association with movement and an increased aptitude for daily functional tasks.
