Wear something comfortable and loose fitting to the class. You will need to be able to move about freely with no restrictions from tight clothing. You can either exercise in bare feet or socks, whichever you are more comfortable with.
All equipment will be provided including a mat, head supports, balls and bands. However if you have your own mat that you prefer to use that is fine. Bring a water bottle also- facilities are available to refill water as required.
Booking is done in blocks- check the website for current blocks. Usually these are between 6 and 8 weeks long but may vary. You will need to complete the online registration form before attending.
Physiotherapy led Pilates is done in a block format rather than as drop ins due to the careful planning that goes into each block. Exercises will be progressed gradually and on an individual basis and it is imperative that basics are mastered before any progression is allowed. The small numbers in each class allows for individual feedback and facilitation with exercises to ensure the correct technique is being used. This is to ensure no injuries are caused and to ensure the correct precision of movement is adhered to.
If there is another class at a suitable level that has a space then this may be available. I will always try and accommodate where possible, but this may not always be possible if classes are at maximum numbers.
There is parking on the road (Chapel Street) or on High street. Both are free and only a short walk from the hall.
