About me

Laura Billing- physio/pilates instructor/wife/mum

I first qualified as a physiotherapist in 2001 from the University of London with a 2:1 honours degree. I then worked in the NHS for 20 years, based largely at a specialist orthopaedic hospital in Birmingham. I was lucky to work alongside specialist teams in all areas of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic medicine and work with a fantastic team of physiotherapists providing rehabilitation for many post operative patients.

I then made the decision to move into private practice, and now work in a well established private clinic locally, where I am able to teach 1:1 Pilates classes, alongside treating a caseload of musculoskeletal patients. I love to see how my clients improve as they progress through their Pilates 1:1 programmes and achieve their goals of reducing pain, stiffness and weakness- and improving functional goals and building their strength as they do this. I personally enjoy doing regular Pilates classes and have found it extremely beneficial for building my own strength. My love and passion for Pilates has now led me onto new opportunities and I am pleased to be in a position to start teaching small classes in a beautiful newly established studio.
